At a recent press screening, Malaysian movie director James Lee told audiences that local independent filmmakers need the support of fellow Malaysians. It’s just as important as receiving standing ovations at foreign film festivals, Lee said.
He also talked about a long kissing scene that was censored from his recent film.
Lee promoted Before We Fall in Love Again and Things We Do When We Fall In Love, at Golden Screen Cinemas in Midvalley Megamall on 27 and 28 April. They are part of a Love trilogy. Think Korean director Park Chan Wook’s Revenge Trilogy, without the sex and violence, and a much lower budget.
